Learning Outcomes and Application This unit of competency defines the skills and knowledge required to select, install, fault find and adjust a range of door control devices and door control systems. It applies to work conducted in commercial, industrial and domestic environments. No licensing, legislative or certification requirements apply to this unit at the time of publication. Element: Determine job requirements
  • Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs)

Element: Identify potential and existing risks and hazards associated with maintenance activities and control in accordance procedures and SOPs

  • Conduct checks on door control devices/systems and components to identify any damage, friction or sticking in accordance with manufacturers' specifications
